Catalysis lab

The primary motivations of catalysis laboratory is to develop new heterogeneous and homogeneous catalyst for C-H and O-H activation using first row transition metals, and hence minimizing the use of rare metals as catalysts in synthetic chemistry. At present, phosphorus and sulphur doped graphitic materials are used as a new generation carbocatalyst for various organic transformation. Currently Mr. Sayantan Maity is working as a full time Ph.D scholar.

Projects

1. Phosphorus and sulphur doped graphitic materials as a new generation carbocatalyst for various organic transformation

2. Development of Fe(III)complexes of amido-quinoline tetradentate acyclic ligands: Catalysts for C-H activation and Epoxidation
