Quantitative study on single-chromosome elasticity and its relevance to chromosome fragility in cancer

Objectives: In this proposed work, we will develop an atomic force microscope based assay for identifying chromosomal instability in cancer and understand the molecular mechanism for the instability through a combination of biochemistry and biophysics approach.
